Care
30. Plant bulbs in autumn before the ground freezes. Ensure the planting location has excellent drainage to prevent bulb rot during the summer dormant season.
Maintenance
Apply a top-dressing of organic compost or specific bulb fertilizer in early spring when new growth emerges. Do not cut back green foliage prematurely.
Cleanup
Allow the spring foliage to turn completely yellow and die back naturally before cutting it down to the ground; this allows the bulbs to store vital energy for next year's blooms.
