Care
Deadhead spent flowers to prolong blooming and prevent excess self-seeding. Water consistently.
Maintenance
Cut back foliage to basal clump after flowering. Divide every 3-4 years to rejuvenate.
Cleanup
Cut back to basal rosette in late fall after first frost. Mulch lightly in zone 5.
Notes
All parts toxic if ingested. Short-lived perennial that self-seeds readily. Outstanding hummingbird attractor with spurred flowers.
